At the end of February 2002 Irena Baleisis, Audra Baleisis and Tom Baumgartner (joining half way) journeyed to a place not so far away on the map to experience a totally new environment. The main drive behind publishing our photos and trip information on the web is to invite and enchant others to the possibilities of travel to Costa Rica (our kindest and gentlest neighbor to the south) and to educate those interested in this sort of travel as well as share the wonder of our experiences. We gained quite a bit from people who had published on the web prior to our own experience and feel we must return the favor.

We have chronicalled our journey thoroughly in respect to the accomadations we stayed at, the modes of transportation we took and especially the flora and fauna of the landscape we experienced.
